We want to share with you how the horticulturists at Akron Zoo in Ohio, US are using their Big Hanna and the compost they make.

The Zoo wrote in their Facebook site :

Happy Earth Day! Let's talk about poop!

Our animals poop a lot. Our staff here at the Akron Zoo have found a way to use the poop to help benefit our environment – composting! Two years ago we debuted a state-of-the-art aerobic composter called Big Hanna. Big Hanna „eats” the animal poop and other items like food scraps and after a few weeks, creates compost that our horticulture team can use in our beautiful gardens.
