Let us guide you
We guide you in your choice of model and makes sure your Big Hanna is delivered with the right options for your specifc needs. In housing areas we calculate the amount of food waste based on number of families within the area. When Big Hanna is delivered to a restaurant or hotel we look at the composition of the food waste and give a recommendation of suitable model size and optional equipment.

When the machine is installed we educate the caretaker, tenants or kitchen staff. After installation we make follow-up visits to check the biological process within the Big Hanna. We provide service contracts and since the Big Hanna is manufactured in stainless steel using high quality components we estimate that the machine has a life expectancy of at least 20 years if serviced regularly.

 


 

The invention, 1991

ALEtrumman/Big Hanna was invented by Torsten Hultin, a Swedish sociologist. The first installation was made in 1991. By recreating the circle grow - eat - grow Torsten wanted to create awareness about how the way our society uses and misuse its resources, and how dependent we are on our local and global environment. Today it's almost an obvious act to sort some of our waste. If we can create the same obvious approach to composting then we will make yet another social and environmental gain.
