Old shrubs and trees Add a 1,5 cm thick layer of compost on the soil under the plants. Leave some air right next to the trunk.
Old perennial beds Add a 1,5 cm thick layer of compost on the soil around plants.
Old grass fields 1 part compost mixed with four parts sand in a 1,5 cm thick layer is put on the grass in the spring. Cut the lawn carefully (if the grass is covered more than 1-2 weeks, the field should be watered).
Greenhouse and indoor plants 1 part compost mixed with four parts peat before sowing or replanting.
